Astypalaia, the butterfly of the Aegean Sea, bridges the Cyclades with the Dodecanese. Its capital is Chora, which is built on a hill, on top of which lies the imposing Venetian Castle. The white-washed houses with the traditional blue shutters, the picturesque cobble streets, the eight windmills in the central square, the churches of the castle, the church of Portaitissa, the various other little churches which are scattered around the island, the beautiful beaches and the clear waters of the Aegean Sea which surround the island create a magnificent picture and a wonderful atmosphere that you will definitely enjoy!!
The visitors will also be delighted by the remarkable night life on the island, at the central square, the port of Pera Yalos and the cosmopolitan Livadi Beach.
Enjoy your stay on our Island!
